Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. The parents of Audrey Tautou as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for drama and theater at the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was more than enough to overcome her original desire to become an animal scientist. As a young woman the rise to fame was quick and accompanied by the beginning of her recognition and success. Following her graduation and acting, she appeared on the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Best Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her career as an actress. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she has since gotten rid of the aforementioned societal influences. Alongside her acting work, she is also pursuing modelling. She modelled for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and is known as "The Chanel Muse". Apart from her acting career, she has an interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection images in Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities and the fame. It also features a series self-portraits and a particular focus on the media that has closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid rise in stardom after Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her first big role, starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and recognized at many awards events around the globe. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to be released in the US. The following year, she appeared in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
